Most states require certification for employment. Currently California (which CSS currently operates) is not a state that requires state certification. With that being said, California is moving toward requiring all Sterile Processing Technicians (current or future) to have their state certification.

Does CSS provide job placement?

Similar to other trade schools in this industry, Central Sterilization Solutions unfortunately does not provide job placement. What CSS does provide is resume building and interviewing skill role-plays, which has provided our students with a leg up against the competition.

Is this stable job market?

Yes, the Sterile Processing department is a growing field. Positions for certified technicians are currently in demand because of state requirements. The requirement for sterile processing technicians is projected to grow 10% to 14% between 2016 and 2026. Much of this comes down to a rapidly aging Baby Boomer generation.
