Some of the information in this article may seem basic or common knowledge, but readers would be surprised by the multiple instances where these basics were unknown to the interviewee. The CSS team has had experience in the practice of interviewing candidates and felt it best to provide our opinion on what to wear in a Sterile Processing interview. It is our goal to help our students put the best first forward when seeking new career opportunities.

Let’s dive into it. Dressing appropriately for a job interview is important to hiring managers by making a positive first impression. Opt for professional attire that reflects the healthcare facility’s culture and dress code. Your outfit should convey professionalism and confidence.

 

 

Interview attire recommended for men.

CSS’s minimum recommendation is to opt for a clean, pressed dress shirt, slacks, and nice shoes. Be sure your shoes are well-maintained and polished. Suits, some business casual attire such as ties, blazers, and cufflinks may not be necessary for entry-level Sterile Processing potions. Avoid any wrinkled clothing.

 

 

Interview attire recommended for women.

When it comes to selecting the appropriate outfit, consider a nice button-up long-sleeve shirt or a crisp blouse. Simple colors and patterns are s safe go-to. Keep your attire neutral and let your answers and demeanor convey your personality.

 

 

Hygiene for all. 

Ready? Do we have to talk about hygiene? You would be surprised. Personal hygiene is crucial when preparing for a job interview. Cleanliness and grooming play a significant role in creating a positive first impression.
