Central Sterilization Solutions

A BIT ABOUT US

A Brief Description of The Course

Central Sterilization Solutions first started teaching in 2011. From years of experience in the field, CSS instructors recognized a huge opportunity for a better Sterile Processing education course. With rising costs and lack of proper training in the industry, Central Sterilization Solutions decided to design a course that is cost-effective and has extreme attention to detail.

Originating in the heart of Southern California, CSS hosts two In-Person classrooms located in Whittier and Riverside. Live Stream Classes are available to anyone for remote learning.  Online Courses are available for students that need a more flexible schedule or accelerated learning.

Depending on the option you choose, it will take approximately 20 to 40 hours a week to complete course material over the five months you are with us.

Once you receive your course material, you will be working and studying to complete the requirements for your certification.

These requirements will consist of completing your reading, homework, and tests while coming into class one day a week (In-Person). Each week a lecture will be held discussing two new chapters by the instructor (In-Person or Live Stream Classes). The time needed to keep up with this schedule will require that you dedicate a minimum of 25 hours each week to prepare for the exam.

You will also be required to volunteer at one of the partner hospitals and complete the 400-hour internship of hands-on training. This training will help you pass the national exam as well as have you ready to apply for a position as a Sterile Processing Technician.

Online students have the ability to choose their schedules. Once enrolled, students will have instant access to our enriching course. Textbooks will be shipped (textbooks included with tuition) by our team. The online course features a step-by-step guide simulating our classroom course. Students will still need to complete the mandatory 400-hour internship of hands-on training for the national exam.
