Description of Services:
What CSS Provides
Central Sterilization Solutions (CSS) offers training programs to help students learn sterile processing and prepare for the CRCST certification exam. Each course level includes different features, and students can choose the option that best fits their needs.
Depending on the course you choose, you may receive:
- Online (self-paced), Live Stream, or In-Person course lectures
- All include access to the student portal for digital guidance throughout the course.
- Official HSPA CRCST textbooks
- Help from an Education Specialist to review lessons and answer questions
- CRCST exam preparation sessions

Access to partner hospitals for hands?on experience or help applying for jobs. Students who participate in hands?on training are covered under CSS’s liability insurance.

Exam Fee
The national CRCST exam fee is not included in tuition. The exam costs $140, paid directly to HSPA.
Switching Courses
You may switch to a different course version. If the new course costs more or if you used a discount code, you must pay the difference before switching. To access the final exam, resume help, interview prep, or hands?on training, your payments must be current or paid in full.
Technology Needed
To participate in online learning, you’ll need a device such as a mobile phone, tablet, laptop or Chromebook with internet access, a camera, and a microphone. Students are responsible for purchasing their own devices and submitting receipts to any third?party reimbursement programs.
?
COURSE ACCESS, DURATION, AND COMPLETION REQUIREMENT
Upon enrollment, students are provided access to their selected program for a?maximum period of twelve (12) months?from the date of enrollment. All program requirements—including instructional content, assessments, exam preparation, career support services, internship/externship assistance, and any other included features—must be completed within this twelve (12) month period.
Students who do not complete the program within the twelve (12) month completion period will be required to?re-enroll?to regain access to program materials, instructional services, and support. Re-enrollment is subject to the?tuition rates, program structure, policies, and requirements?in effect at the time of re-enrollment.
The twelve (12) month completion period applies regardless of enrollment type, method of instruction, payment plan, installment arrangement, pauses, or interruptions. Failure to complete the program within the designated timeframe does?not?entitle the student to a refund, tuition proration, credit, or extension beyond the twelve (12) month period.
Any exception or extension to the completion period must be?approved in writing?by Central Sterilization Solutions and is not guaranteed.

Career Support
Career support is designed to be a helpful course feature providing students with advice and resources to build, edit, or update existing resumes, learn common interview skills, and practice these skills with a dedicated team member. Career support does not provide a guarantee of employment opportunities. CSS is not responsible for or cannot be held responsible for employment or non-employment outcomes. Utilization of Career Support recommendations is considered voluntary for the customer and is not mandated. Features within Career Support may require sufficient competence in common job application requirements, which may be necessary for customers to complete/exhibit/obtain before other course options like Internship Assistance.?

After completing Education, Career Support, or other requirements, students then conduct hands-on training in a local hospital or will need to secure a location independently. Central Sterilization Solutions has multiple partnering healthcare locations throughout California, which are utilized to help customers complete their required CRCST 400 hours. These locations are not guaranteed, as each facility has varying rotation availability, requirements, or differing limitations.?
For students ready to proceed or utilize Internship Assistance, the closest In-Network location to the customer/student is contacted to confirm availability and requirements. CSS will communicate via the facility’s preferred method to confirm all requirements and relay this information to the customer/student to begin the onboarding process. Each location has varying requirements that must be met before on-site training (internship). If locations are unavailable to accommodate a student/customer for any reason and a secondary in-network location is not readily accessible, the customer/student will have to locate an externship location independently.?
The willingness of the student to accept in-network healthcare facility requirements is not the responsibility of CSS. CSS complies with the healthcare facilities’ requirements and clearly outlines these responsibilities/requirements to the customer/student upon internship assistance request and the onboarding process. CSS cannot be held responsible for the unsuccessful placement of the customer/student, in such circumstances where the willingness to accept facility requirements is not met or accepted by the customer/student.
