Internship Assistance Preparation Central Sterilization Solutions

This course prepares students for the hands-on internship phase of their Sterile Processing education. After completing the required online coursework and earning provisional HSPA CRCST certification and career support material, students receive guided support to complete 400 hours of real-world training in a Sterile Processing department.

• Clear guidance through the onboarding process (typically 6–8 weeks), including required documentation, background checks, drug screening, and immunization records
• Experience working as a team member in a functioning healthcare facility, following employee guidelines and learning actual department processes and procedures

Important notes: Internship placement is not guaranteed and depends on facility availability, schedule requirements (most sites need full-time day-shift availability), and successful completion of onboarding. Students must schedule a meeting with the Program Director after reviewing the preparation materials to receive full course access.

This course provides the structure, support, and resources needed to move from classroom learning into a professional clinical setting.
